Auto Retry Does Not Work with Key Authentication

I use WinSCP to transfer files from my server which only accepts key authentication. Also, I have protected my key with a passphrase. Since I experience a lot of connection errors, it would be nice if WinSCP could reconnect and resume my downloads without my intervention. Currently, I get a dialog box with two options "Abort" and "Reconnect". After choosing "Reconnect" I then have to manually reenter the passphrase for my key.

Looking at the WinSCP options, it looks like automatic retry should be supported even with a passphrase protected key. I have the following options set:
Transfer->Background
    Transfer on background by default
    No confirmations for background transfers
    Automatically pop up prompts of background transfers when idle
    Remember password of main session for background transfers
Transfer->Resume
    Automatically reconnect session, if it breaks during transfer
    Reconnect after 300 seconds

Since I have asked it to remember the password, and to automatically reconnect, I don't know why it always displays a dialog box when there is a connection error, and why it asks me for my password again. I would like you to remember my password, and automatically reconnect. Basically, I leave file transfers running for several days sometimes, and I want to be sure that they are not going to fail while I am away.

What's exactly the error message you receive?

The error is: "connection reset by peer".
I'm aware of this problem (with this particular error). Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce it myself. If you are able to reproduce it easily, I would appreciate if I can send you a debug version to trace this down.

Sure, I can reproduce the error all the time... how do I do a debug trace?
I'll contact you in few days on your email address.

Automatic Transfer Resume Switch

Hello all
Just wondering if the automatic transfer issue was resolved.
I'm running a batch file that does the transfer but could not find a switch anywhere to effect the automatic reconnection.
Anyone have an ideas?
Perhaps there is one that suppresses errors, will that allow a reconnection?
Cheers
R

So what is your problem? The reconnect does not occur? Can you post a log file?
