Truncate: File too large Error

When I try to upload some files to my web server I get the following error:
scp: /home/httpd/docs/menu.htm: truncate: File too large
This error seems to be independent of the actual file size, one of the files that I get the error on is only 540 bytes in size, others are up to 435 Kbytes.

The contents of my log for the attempts are:

I have never seen this error before. Does it happen with all files? Can you try to upload same files another client (like PSCP)?

Re: Truncate: File too large Error

Martin,

It happened with all files through WinSCP, I didn't have any other SCP client installed at the time but I used CoffeeCupFTP to successfully upload the files. I will try again and see if I get the same errors with PuTTY. I tried PSCP and got the following errors:
--Start of Output--
C:\>pscp.exe -load spca -v -pw ######## "d:\spcaweb-new\spca.css" admin@www.spca
.org.au:/home/httpd/docs/test/spca.css

Sending file spca.css, size=2385
scp: /home/httpd/docs/test/spca.css: Permission denied

Server sent command exit status 1
--End of Output--
There are no permission problems for the directory as I have successfully logged in to the server using FTP and the same username and transferred the file to the directory.

I'll keep fidling around to see if it is some configuration issue with my system or the host server.

Re: Truncate: File too large Error

If you find anything new, please post it here. I'm interested to know, if it is problem on WinSCP side or on your server side. Anyway, you may consider trying SFTP instead of SCP.
