Clarification Needed: Information Discrepancy on WinSCP 6.3 Download Page and Release Notes

Hi everyone,
I'm writing to inquire about a slight discrepancy I noticed between the information presented on the WinSCP 6.3 download page and the corresponding release notes. While the download page offers a nice overview of key features, the release notes seem to contain a less comprehensive changelog.

For compliance purposes, I'm seeking a complete understanding of all changes implemented in version 6.3. Could anyone shed light on why there might be differences in the level of detail provided between these two sources? Is there a specific intention behind this approach?

Perhaps there's an alternative resource that can help me. Any insights or guidance from the community or developers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your prompt response. I would like to draw your attention to the attached image. As you can see, the information on the right is the same as that on the download page, while the information available at https://winscp.net/eng/docs/history?a=6.3 does not mention the same features.

It is essential for me to know whether this update includes any security updates as it is required for compliance purposes.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Ok, so we have two version lists:
  • https://winscp.net/eng/docs/history – this lists all changes in details, version-by-version
  • https://winscp.net/eng/docs/news (the same list shown in the WinSCP app update dialog) – this is more reduced marketing-ish list of changes, highlighting the important changes only. Moreover in the app, if you do not have use of beta versions enabled, it skips the beta versions in the list. For both these reasons, for a major stable release (6.3 in this case), it summarizes all changes since the previous stable release (6.1.2 in this case), i.e. all changes in 6.2.x beta/RC releases.
