Winscp reports "user-mapped section" error. What is this?

I have just started testing winscp 4.2.6 and have experienced an intermittent problem when fetching via SFTP. The winscp log reports -
. 2010-03-04 15:48:11.342 File: "/SOURCE/TEST3.SFTP.TXT"
. 2010-03-04 15:48:11.342 Copying "/SOURCE/TEST3.SFTP.TXT" to local directory started.
. 2010-03-04 15:48:11.342 Binary transfer mode selected.
. 2010-03-04 15:48:11.357 Confirming overwriting of file.
* 2010-03-04 15:48:11.357 (EOSError) System Error.  Code: 1224.
* 2010-03-04 15:48:11.357 The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open
I don't understand what this error means. This transfer is a simple fetch in a loop and works okay for a while but then hits this problem. The purpose of the test was to see how reliable the process was for stability.

I am sending you a copy of the full log (SFTP_FETCH_20100304_154809.LOG) via email.

Can you advise what this error means and how I might manage it please?
