Topic "Intermittant file transfer problem"

I have a file that will not transfer using winscp. I can transfer it with windows text mode ftp (my emergency, non-secure backup). Other files will transfer file.

The file is one I get from another ftp site and rename before transferring. I also tried opening this text file and saving it to another name (using textpad 4.7). The error occurs whether or not the file is being overwritten.

The error is:
Copying files to remote side failed.
Unable to receive data from TCP/IP.
Data transfer ended.

Using WinSCP 4.2.8 with Commander interface on Windows XP SP3. Using ftp with ssl Port 990.

Please post a full log file showing the problem.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. For posting extensive logs you may use pastebin or similar application. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Thanks. Do you have access to server-side log file?

Sorry, no. I can transfer other files, but this specific file will not transfer. Opening it and saving it anew with a text editor doesn't solve the problem either.
