 +Hello parents/guardians,
 +
+I just want to tell everyone to remain warm with this cold icy weather.  I hope everyone is happy ending January going into the beginning of February.  When the students returned from Christmas break they did a great job at getting back into  the flow of being at school.  Coming into February we will continue on writing names in cursive.  The students have progressed tremendously and I am very proud of them.  Keep up the good work!

 +Valentine Day!
+On February 14th we will be having a very exciting day in class. The students are being asked to bring valentine day cards for their fellow friends and a dish. I ask that you make sure to have enough snacks for 22 students. I ask that the parents get involved because this will be a very interesting day if everyone participates. The party will start at 1:30 until the end of the day.  I ask the students to please wear red for the boys and pink for the girls because we will take photos to hang on the door.

 + Take Action!
+It is very important that you take time out to talk to your students about the activities that we do here at school and the assignments that we send home with them.  Parents I encourage you to really get involved with your children on a daily basis. Thanks!

 + New Policy!!!
+The Board of Education had a meeting last month about the usage of cell phones.  I know parents want to make sure their child stays in contact, but cell phones are no longer prohibited in the schools.  If you want to get a hold of your child during school hours then you are more welcomed to contact the school.
