The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

- When i let the tunnel connection idle for three days and let it disconnect, and then create a new tab on WinSCP, this error pops up preventing me to create the new tab. Already open tabs can reconnect as usual. Happens rarely.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

I made some file transfer, then left connection open but idle in background.
Connection was via a SSH port-forward using SOCKS proxy.
Later the SOCKS proxy closed unexpectedly, so the connection was lost.
When I return to computer 6-7 hours later the error message was popup on the screen.

Hello. This issue happened when I traveled from one place to another several hundred km away. I used it
on a local Wi-Fi network to connect to a phone. After that my notebook was not shut down and I found out when I plugged in the power supply while arriving. Then the software popped this error message.

Hello, reporting this error as requested from the app when it occurred - I had been on leave from work last week and had left WinSCP open and connected to one of our client sites, so unsure if this was simply some sort of timeout issue or not, and is the first time I've ever seen it, but simply reporting as the error message requested so. This is the same error that I reported a few minutes ago. It turns out that it happens every time I click on New Tab. When I sent the report a few minutes ago was the first time I'd seen the problem.
I've now closed WinSCP, saving the workspace, then opened it again and reopened the saved workspace, and it's working fine so far.

I had just switched to the WinSCP window, which had 5 tabs open but probably not still connected. I don't remember where I clicked when this happened, most likely on New Tab.

After a day, or many days, of having many tabs open (and many PuTTY windows open) I'll click on a folder or file in WinSCP and the attached Error pops up. When I click on the error message's OK button WinSCP closes.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

Just tried open a text file on the target machine by doubleclick. It happened multiple times with different files. The problem gone after WinSCP restart

Hello,

This is the first time I see the issue. I use the portable version of the App. I wasn't doing anything actually. The session was just left inactive for a few days.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide further information as the program crashed and I did not find any session log.

I checked the Windows event viewer but couldn't find any useful information there either.
