SUMMARY:
When I try to remove (delete) a transfer that was marked as "Complete" in the transfer queue then I get the error message.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
I attempted to initiate the transfer in question (from a server to my desktop) while other transfers were already happening (from the same server).
The server rejected the request and WinSCP set the status to "Complete".
Every time I attempted to clear the transfer in question from the queue then I received the error message (below).
This has only happened with this one specific transfer but every time I attempt to delete it then I get the same error message.
I have never received this error before.

This happens when trying to download from a host and there is 'to many clients' connected. It gives the warning message and 'okay' box that repeatedly trys to open up and continue to download even though there are to many users.

This specific error happens during that point where one tries to open settings between error warnings and lower the download count to clear the error. When exiting settings, the error box will be waiting. Clicking okay at this point causes the problem and shows the file attempting to be downloaded as 'complete' that ever goes away during that connection but limits the future download spot.

IE: if there were 3 spots available, with the 'complete' there after the error trying to download 4, only two remaining will remain. It's quite annoying. Has been a problem on every build of WinSCP over the past 3-5 years.

While transering data, I connected to a wireguard VPN. that caused the connection to hang. I then started another item from the queue. It got into a weird state where it completed, but was 0kb. After disconnecting from the VPN, I Tried to click cancel on that 0kb transfer.

Error Occurs when trying to cancel a download that that has 'completed' but not disappeared.

The cause of this is done by another error. When attempting to download from an ftp with to many downloads. Say I have 3 downloads set but the server only allows 2 connections from Host. The third pops up an error. If you okay this message, hit settings between the error messages and change the background to 2. The third becomes a greyed out 'Completed' that will not disappear. This prevents any other queued items from starting (the first error), this is the result of the second error when trying to cancel the completed item to restart queues.

TCPsendBuf was overloaded on a Virtualizo/Plesk VM and so ssh session failed to establish- now transfer is stuck in queue as completed but not able to be removed (removal attempt causes memory access error).

Created new file on remote server, edited and attempted to "save" (upload). No success.

When pressing the Delete button on a completed upload in the queue, the following error appears

Downloading on 9 threads from a server very far (600ms+RTT! latency) but with relatively high bandwidth (total 20Mbits/sec)

Was working on a remote host (over an _unreliable_ long distance wifi link) when the host dropped out and this error appeared when I tried to empty the queue.

I placed four files into the queue to transfer while a large batch of files was transferring. I then tried to "Execute Now" each of the four files, to bump them ahead of the large batch. When I did this, the UI requested my login password to the remote SFTP server. I did not have that easily available, so I cancelled each of the four files from the queue as the password was requested for each. After the cancels had been processed, the four items were left in the queue list (shadowed). I then tried to right click and "cancel" each of the shadowed entries from the queue, just to clear the display while other batch processes still active in the queue were running. It was at that point that the error occurred.

I had started a queue transfer (background) session with "transfer files individually" set and "New and updated files only" selected and a max of 7 simultaneous uploads set in preferences. It correctly started the transfer session by first determining that many of the 161 files were older than the FTP site files and didn't need to be transferred before it found the 7 files that did need to be transferred and initiated the simultaneous transfer for those.

I then scrolled through the queue window and saw the files that did not need to be transferred were still listed but were "grayed out" and said "Completed".

I then selected one of them and clicked on the "X Remove selected queue item". This is what caused the error message.

This is repeatedly reproducible.

I hope this helps. This looks like a great piece of software but I've only used it for about an hour so far.

doubt this one is traceable, but i'll submit anyway, this just happened after a file failed to upload and i tried to clear the queue by pressing the red X on the queue
