<In this particular instance I was just uploading three small files (in the background) from my local machine to the remote server. Lately I have also been having this error a lot upon connection to the remote server. Rebooting WinSCP (sometimes multiples times) usually does the trick. I am using pageant with an ssh-rsa key in the background. Ethernet connection is fairly good. My connection happens through a proxy with local command
plink -v -pw %password %user@%proxyhost -nc %host:%port
, in which the password I use is stored in the Advanced Site Settings. Note that in this case after clicking OK on the dialog box my three files had been transferred all right.>
WinSCP 5.13

I know how to reproduce the problem or the problem happens frequently enough. I wish to be contacted by the WinSCP team to help resolving the problem.
