This happens when I leave a connection open for a long time. Usually overnight.
I don't need to be contacted.

Left WinSCP loaded for several days. Wasn't using it, it was just running in the background. When I came to close a few apps down, the error was on screen.

Running on a laptop, so WinSCP was running and connected. I put laptop to sleep, then when waking it the next day, WinSCP was trying to reconnect to the previous session. I am not sure how soon this happened after waking the laptop. I do this same procedure everyday (i.e. sleep/wake) and this does not happen often.

Invalid access to memory - Vcl::Comctrls::TTreeNode::GetTreeView

Error occurred after computer was awoken from hibernation. WinScp was logged in to 3 different sites at time, 1 was FTP the other two SFTP sites.
Before I hibernated however google chrome (2 separate sessions) had locked up and required shutdown (ALT +F4) to recover. After this and before hibernation everything seemed to be working

I usually connect to this computer via RDP. WinSCP was Connected to my web server (Debian 12.0 (Bookworm)). Left it connected, RDP was disconnected. Windows is set to suspend. Saw this error reporting box the next time I logged in via RDP.

Invalid access to memory - Vcl::Comctrls::TTreeNode::GetTreeView

WinSCP was idling over night in a remote session while the session was disconnected.
I don't know if the error is reproducible or not. The page made me select an option. It might happen every time the session is reconnected for some period of time, or might happen rarely indeed. On the other hand I cannot reproduce it by simply disconnection and reconnecting.

Wasn't actually doing anything, had WinSCP open and connected for a couple of days and at some point it displayed this message.

Invalid access to memory - Vcl::Comctrls::TTreeNode::GetTreeView

I have hibernated my windows, connected with a vpn to a remote host.

when I reopen my pc, of course vpn is down, no acces any more to the host. getting back to winscp I saw the issue so reported it.
i usually do like that but it's the first time I see it.
