Just showed up to my computer in the morning and this error message was there. This was after stopping the screensaver.

SCP was running in the background. I was transferring some photos and videos from a phone to this PC using PhotoSync, I checked this PC and WinSCP had crashed with the memory error.

I was connected to the PC running WinSCP via RDP.
I disconnected the RDP session.
When I came back it showed the error message below. The program seems to run fine after closing the error message.

I was not actively using WinSCP at the time. I put the computer to sleep by closing the lid. Later, I woke the computer from sleep and stepped away from the computer for a moment. When I returned, I saw there was this error message from WinSCP. I am not sure if the error happened when the computer was put to sleep, when the computer woke from sleep, or some time after the computer woke from sleep.

WinSCP was already open, with a multiple tabs.
This time, I switched to it from another app, and expected the "Reconnect" dialog box - typical behaviour.
I do not recall if the error message came up right away after switching, or only after clicking the "Reconnect" in the session reconnection dialog box.

I got this error after I left WinSCP window open for a long time (connected to remote server). No actions from my side and no task were executing. Just idle session. Sessions still alive.

Fired up my win11, dell xps15 laptop this morning, waking from hibernate and was presented with the error window when maximising the WinSCP window, which was open before hibernate.

I use remote desktop to work on the computer where WinSCP crashed. I found the WinSCP crashed after a reconnect to the PC. The PC has lots of free memory free (> 16GB)

Je možné že v průběhu připojení si win11 swapnuly ramku kvuli jiným aplikacím

Was uploading files to a server for use there. Started the upload, minimized the WinSCP window and let it run. Walked away from the laptop overnight and found this error today 2/23/2024

Invalid access to memory - Vcl::Comctrls::TTreeNode::GetTreeView

I really don't know what caused, I was uploading a bunch of files to an AIX machine with winscp in my VDI. Disconnected from the VDI and went home. When I reconnected to the VDI from home this error was there.
Noticed that we had recieved an alarm about a low storage issue on the AIX during my travel and some of my colleagues had done some cleaning, but unsure if that can have affected my upload and caused this error.
