What information do we collect?
We can collect information from you when you visit our site or use WinSCP application. People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used.

When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address or location. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
After donating to WinSCP, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address or donation entry details.

Installing WinSCP Application
WinSCP uses OpenCandy advertising module in its sponsored installation package (and only in the sponsored installer, not in the WinSCP application). By using sponsored version of the installer you support WinSCP development. Thanks you! However, you can always use the other not-sponsored installation package.
Using WinSCP Application
When using WinSCP application, we might collect anonymous WinSCP usage statistics. You may, however, opt-out from providing WinSCP usage statistics or from WinSCP automatic check for application updates.

All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
