No, WinSCP does not contain any adware.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I was asking about any adware in general and OpenCandy was just the one I saw references to. I didn't know if it had been replaced with something else but we have to be extremely careful about what we install in production.

I take it from your response that the product does not contain any adware or other products at this point?

Thanks again.

Saw some old articles about adware, is the current version free of this?

We need to update our ftp client and WinSCP was recommended. While doing a quick search, I ran across an old thread where there was a lengthy discussion about OpenCandy being included and you had to take certain steps to avoid it.

It sounded like this was no longer included but because this is being installed on development machines in a production environment, we have to be extremely careful.

Can someone confirm that this is no longer an issue if you just choose the main download link. I want to make sure you don't have to use the command line switch, a special build, or anything similar.

Thanks in advance.
