You can (and should) also isolate the script from any configuration storage to prevent any caching.

I use winscp.com in script where it was previously: cd /media/pi/"TOSHIBA EXT"/Backup_Asus.
This was resolved as /media/pi/TOSHIBA EXT and no further.
After I changed target name to /media/pi/TOSHIBA_EXT/Bacup_Asus script fails due to the directory .../TOSHIBA EXT does not exist.
How to teach winscp.com that script was changed and target is changed.
