No we didn't contact Symantec, as we have no own information for the submission. As you can see above the VirusTotal reports no problem with Symantec for WinSCP.

I wonder if WinSCP.net is aware of this? Have they themselves contacted Symantec about this false positive?

My company IT dept has contacted Symantec for review and requested to add this to their “exclude of signature” list.
