Hi,
There's another Quarterly client that wasn't receiving all their files, because of permission errors. We've been using the same version of WinSCP for a while, on that server.
So I installed the most recent version of WinSCP on my workstation (I tried Portable, but wasn't successful in running any scripts), and then copied the WinSCP files in \Program files x86
, to a temporary folder on that server.
When I ran the scripts on the temporary most recent version of WinSCP, it worked fine.
So I'm asking for Open-ended suggestions, as to how to proceed. We could just separate this client from all the others, use the temporary folder (C:\Winscp
, right off the root) and gradually move them to the newer WinSCP as we have time to test.
Do you have any other suggestions? If we're reasonably sure that the newer version won't break anything, then we're willing to do that ; but can we back out that change, if problems occur?
