Fast File Transfer in Windows

I am working in the Windows world, currently using a commecial remote access product NetOp, but file transfer is painfully slow. I need to tranfer large files 10MB to update clients remotely. All clients are behind routers with private IP Addresses (NetOp uses an Name Server techology to provide a connection).
I would like to know what options I might have, and what to read up on.
