Re: Installing over old version

Just install the new version over the old one. Your configuration will be preserved.
See https://winscp.net/eng/docs/installation#upgrade
Though in future, upgrade more often. Upgrading from a recent version will typically be more seamless, than upgrading from 10 years old version.

Installing over old version

Hi, Simple question. (I have read the FAQ.) I am using an old version of WinSCP (4.2.7). Win 10 Pro, 32 bit, Commander interface. Can I install the latest version on top of the old one, or do I need to uninstall the old one first? And in either case, will the connections/logins I have on the old version be preserved? (I have stuck with the old version because it works and I have always found setting up connections difficult.). Thanks very much.
