Re: WinSCP-5.19.2

OK, the A: and B: drives were historically reserved for floppy drives, so WinSCP treats them specially.
It's about a time to stop that:

WinSCP-5.19.2

Just updated, and did testing, and
notice that RAM disk with letters A: and B:
are ignored, and not refreshed in the list,
while other assigned letters to the RAM disk
are appearing in the drive list as it should.

I'm using SoftPerfect RAM Disk on Win10x64.

Yes:
- Explorer [ Eindows]
- totalcmd

except in WinSCP.

Plan on fresh windows install in VirtualBox,
then will test and report back.
Or you can test by yourself, and
confirm it's not just me.

So does the mounted drive appear in any other application?

Using SoftPerfect RAM Disk, and
you may be right, since i had couple
of win10 blue screen with reboot after i
tried to mound .iso with windows explorer.
Just maybe you test with this one to be sure.
Thanks.

Re: Dynamic drive letter, require no restart.

WinSCP refreshes the drive list, when a new drive is attached or removed. Maybe your "ram-disk" tool does not notify about the attached drive properly. I've just tested WinSCP with ImDisk and it works as expected. What tool do you use?

Dynamic drive letter, require no restart.

Hi,
i'm using ram disks, and just notice
that winscp will not update the list
of available drives in system after
i create one like ram-disk, and
had to restart winscp.

You could:

- implement awareness of active drives.

Thanks.
