It's uncommon on Linux system. My coworkers are irritated.
Putty does not do that padding too.

Because OpenSSH does not display that. I saw the difference on shell.

Why do you think it's wrong? That's Base-64 padding character.

At first connection the fingerprint warning show a ed25519 fingerprint with a trailing =.
