Ok, the Store is a new information. If you install the regular version, does it also have the problem? Or is it Store-specific?
I did revert the Windows toggle.
The regular version is installed from Microsoft Store, so where am I supposed to place it? I used it from the Downloads folder.
Are you using the debug version the same way? Did you put it to the same folder, where the stable version closes?
I assume you did revert the Windows option back, right?
Funny, the debug version does not do this. What now?
Well, that's not really a solution.
Would you please try to use the debug build, so that we can fix the actual problem?
I figured it out (I think). There is a new setting in Windows 11 in Accounts > Sign in options > Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I sign back in. I enabled this option and now it doesn't close. Or rather windows is closing it and opening it back. If someone knows how to completely disable this behavior, post it below.
Thanks for your report.
I have sent you an email with a debug version of WinSCP to the address you have used to register on this forum.
I've been using WinSCP for several years now. I bought a new laptop and set it up on that device and noticed everytime I logged on WinSCP was not present in the taskbar. I did some investigation and have concluded that everytime I put the computer to sleep (close the lid) and resume back, WinSCP is closed. All my other applications remain open just fine so why is this closing?
OS: Windows 11
WinSCP 5.21.7
Let me know if you need more info.
