hey martin , thanks for the info and reply.
I do appreciate you're taking the time to help work on the crashes, but I'm more interested in the concept that the saving of "path bookmarks" should be done when you press OK (or periodically in the background) as opposed to only at a clean exit.
(this may also explain why it seems to me that the "WorkSpace" auto save feature seems to also never work for me, as i now assume that too is only being saved on a clean exit)
is there somewhere I should submit a feature request or bug report for this? (or is it something that won't will not be considered, for other reasons perhaps.). I feel pretty strongly that as a general principle, settings or changes should be saved when the user presses OK or while the app is running. (i do understand why the workspace auto-save may only be on clean exit though, to prevent a app startup failure )
I have worked with you on debug logs and debug versions in the past, but i think this is more of a general usage / functionally issue that would help all users. (ie what about in cases where you might loose power?)
(To fully explain my reasoning, I love winSCP! and have used it for many many years, I've pretty much always had app crashes with it across several win systems / hardware over the years, I more think that it's just my own winSCP use case -> in that I push the software harder than it should be.
(to be clear winSCP is not *constantly* crashing, but more like a crash/app-exit once every 2 or 3 weeks - And I do have winSCP, along with a few other apps, open and running 24/7) < I hope that doesn't come off as rude, I don't mean it to be so, as winSCP truly is excellent. in fact it's very possible that the app crashes I see could be related to other software outside of winSCP control such as notepad++ (as i use live edit of txt and bash files *alot*).
also to be clear I have other windows systems that use winSCP for things such as Non-interactive daily synchronization between servers, and those have run winSCP for years without any crashes!
thanks
