Thanks. It turned out that only ASCII/text mode transfers cannot be cancelled. I'll fix it.

Can you post a log file? I'm not able to reproduce the problem. For me, the connection is closed immediately after I press "yes".

If I press 'Yes' it continues with the upload then disconnects.

I am using 3.8.2 and cannot cancel uploads. I get a window that says:

Operation cannot be canceled in the middle of file transfer. Press 'Yes' to cancel file transfer and close connection. Press 'No' to finish current file transfer. Press 'Cancel' to continue operation.

No matter what I do it still continues with the transfer. Ridiculous.
