Well, then it look like your FTP server is completely broken.
Or can you connect to it anyhow? Using any other FTP client?

It looks like the server may not support TLS/SSL encryption.
Did you try to connect with "No encryption"?

"Login with USER first" error message
Hi,
I get the error message: "Connection failed. Login with USER first" whenever I try to connect to WinSCP. We recently had a new security software installed (zscaler) and I was given FTP exception access but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?
