You probably want to turn off "transfer to temporary filename":

Hello friends,
I have already searched and never found it.
When I log on to my machine as root and edit a file, it always changes the user and group of the file to root:root. I am of the opinion that this used to be different. Is this possibly a setting in WinSCP?
