Re: Can't Upload File with Parenthesis in Name

I'm not aware of such change. What exactly does it mean "[not] accepts files"? Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, set Session.SessionLogPath. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Can't Upload File with Parenthesis in Name

I just downloaded version 6.3.5, Build 14991, 2024-09-10, discovered it no longer accepts files with parentheses in the file name. This affects thousands of files on our Web site.

Was this a intentional change? If so, why? Parentheses are perfectly legitimate characters in Windows file names.

If it was not intentional, how long before this bug can be fixed?
