How to Automatically Sync Local Folder with Server Using WinSCP?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using WinSCP to transfer files between my local computer and a remote server, and overall the experience has been great.

I would like to know if there is a reliable way to automatically synchronize a local folder with the server without manually uploading files every time I make changes.

My goal is:

When I update files locally, they automatically upload to the server
Avoid re-uploading unchanged files
Possibly run the sync on a schedule or via script

I’ve seen options like Keep Remote Directory Up to Date and scripting features, but I’m not sure which method is best for long-term automation.

Could anyone share:

Recommended sync settings
Example WinSCP script or automation workflow
Any common mistakes to avoid?

Thanks in advance for your help!
