Re: Password changes are a pain

This feature has been implemented already. It will be included into the next major release.

Re: Password changes are a pain

Perhaps the request was misunderstood and/or I would like to revive it.

When starting a saved session that has a stored password in which the password on the server has already been changed, WinSCP tries
Searching for host...
Connecting to host...
Authenticating...
Authenticating with pre-entered password.
Access denied.

And prompts the user to enter the session password:

It would be nice to have a "Save Password" checkbox available to store the entered password for the session in WinSCP instead of having to load the session screen and changing it there.

Thanks,

Crash

Re: Password changes are a pain

There's no mechanism in SSH to change password.

Password changes are a pain

It would be REALLY nice if we could update passwords from the failed logon screen. As I use this software to access servers I run, I change passwords regularly and it is a pain in the butt to have to close the software, load the site, change the password, save the site and then finally logon.

Thanks!
