Sorry, wrong report:
Yes, WinSCP prompts for a password when nothing is specified in a stored session (no way to say "I don't use passwords" ?)
But no problem once you validate an empty textbox.

FTP mode w/o password
(I don't use any password to get connected to a local ftp server.)
