Hi there,
I think this is a bug:
If a long delay occurs during login (i.e. before "password: " query comes but username was sent, then the waiting dialog shows up "...still waiting, Abort" - but if the server then continues and sends the password request, the waiting dialog is not dismissed and the user can't dismiss it. There's sort of a UI deadlock. You can't enter password and you can't dismiss the wait dialog.
