Maybe you can use Binary mode for file transfer to keep file content untouched.

I am trying to send a text file that contains Chinese characters from my local machine to the webserver using WinSCP. The files gets corrupted on the server and doesnt recognize the text.

Does WinSCP support double-byte languages in file transfer? Is there a setting I need to do?
