You cannot specify FTP proxy for SFTP connection.
BTW, FTP proxy request is being tracked already.

The problem is you can't choose a FTP proxy for normal FTP connections. You can select FTP proxy for SFTP connections. We need the ability to choose a FTP proxy for standard FTP.

I believe that yout problem is unrelated to the topic. The topic is about FTP proxy. You are using HTTP proxy.

It seems that your proxy requires authentication and you have not specified any username/password.

Any error message? Can you post a log file both from WinSCP and CoreFTP?

I'm trying to use WinSCP to connect to an FTP site that requires a username/password combination, and can't make it work, whereas core ftp LE client (v2.1, build 1549) works fine. I'm connecting through a frox/squid proxy running on FreeBSD.

Hi rikryl, for remote ftpsites we connect through our proxy. In our proxy no users are defined. In Winscp you have to give up an user and pswd and that doesn't work in our case. So need the choice user with no logon.

Could you please add support for ftp proxies for ftp transfers? I need support because if I try to use our HTTP proxy I got "No valid HTTP reponse"...
