OK, now I finally know what you guys were taking about. However I have no hint for you. The error message you see was reported by the server. It is all WinSCP knows. I cannot tell you more. You should better contact your server administrator.

Does it happen only for some files/directories or does it happen always?

here's some details

I dragged files from the left panel and used the F5 key to copy but it's the same problem. This software has worked previously but I re-installed it and now, I got this error code.
By the way, I still can download and explore the server without any problem. It just won't upload.

Here's the copied error message (sorry, it's french)

What I need to now is, if you drag them from left panel of WinSCP to right panel. Or from outside of WinSCP (like Windows explorer, desktop, ...) to WinSCP. Also please try to copy files without drag&drop. For example using F5 hot key in Norton-Commander interface. Let me know what was the results like. Maybe also screenshot of the error message would be helpful. Either upload it somewhere and post a link or send it by email to me.

i'm not really sure what it is called where i drag them. i want to copy them from my computer desktop or whatever to this other account where i can put them on the web, so i guess just to another directory or something..

error code 4

everytime i try to drag a file onto an account it comes up with "error code 4" and will not work. does anybody know why it is doing this or how to fix it? thanks.
