Custom command patterns insert local filesystem slash

Using 4.2.3, I'm trying to synchronize a local directory (Windows XP) onto a remote one (RHEL).

In Synchronize options, I checked "Preview changes", and from the resulting list, I selected an entry, then Custom Commands -> File Compare (which I defined as w "!" "!^!", and which works in the regular file panels). The problem is that when called from the Synchronization checklist, there seems to be a Windows backslash inserted in front of the remote file:

Cannot open remote file '/homes/dandv/bonita/workflow-head/bugflow/bonita-runtime/\License.txt'.

No such file or directory.
