This happens usually when you transfer files using ASCII (text) mode, because of different size of line-ending mark on windows (2 bytes) and unix (1 byte).

Thanks for helping me understand that, is there a manual for winscp anywhere, that would be handy.

When I perform a 'keep remoted directory up to date' action I notice that files are uploaded up to 100% then the whole process starts all over again, continuously. It doesn't seem to know when the process is completed? Are there settings I need for this? It happens in both SCP and SFTP modes.

Any thoughts on this?

The first is true. It highlights the version that is more current (updated later) and the files that do not have corresponding one in an opposite panel. In preferences you may set that you want to compare files by size too. However is the files are different in size, WinSCP cannot obviously tell which version in newer, so it highlights file in both panels.[/quote]

You may use Compare Directories function located in Command menu (Ctrl+C hotkey). It marks changed and new files in both directories.

I am really enjoying getting to know this software.

I notice there is a facility for instantly uploading any changed files to the remote server.

I can't figure out whether it is possible to get the software to kist list or tag changed files then upoad them in one batch, rather than singly as they change?

Is this possible?
