I cannot reproduce the problem with your debug version of WinSCP (version 4.26, build 649). What is the difference between the debug version and WinSCP 4.25 (build 624)? When will version 4.26 be available for download in a non-debugging form?

Connecting to a linux ssh server as an administrative windows user succeeds every time. Connecting to the same server as a limited windows user succeeds at best half the times attempted. When a failure happens, I see the prompt for session information. I put in the server, username, and password. The message box comes up saying that it is connecting. It disappears and no file browser window comes up, though the task manager indicates that a winscp process is still running.

Using Windows XP SP3 with WinSCP 4.25 installed or portable executable and SFTP protocol. Same issue connecting to Ubuntu 9.10 desktop or server running openssh-server package version 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2, RHEL 5.2 running openssh-server-4.3p2-26.el5_2.1

No issues connecting with putty as a limited windows user.
