Uncompressed is less prone to errors, don't use cpu to uncompress prior execution, and the size difference is insignificant nowadays.
Exactly. The original reason for compressions was to fit the .exe onto 1.44 floppy disk. 4.2.x does not fit anyway.
Before posting, please read how to report bug or request support effectively.
Bug reports without an attached log file are usually useless.

Portable .exe until 4.2.5 was compressed (using UPX). In 4.2.6 this was removed and the .exe in the "portable executables" archive is the same one as in the "installation package" (which was never compressed).
