I was having this same problem after installing iOS 4.1. I could not connect to the iphone no matter what I tried. I uninstalled WinSCP. I removed all evidence from the PC, file system and registry. re-installed WinSCP, still nothing. So I re-installed the debs below and all is working fine now. Hope this works for everyone else. It also worked on my wife's iPhone 3gs 4.1.

1. dpkg_1.14.25-9_iphoneos-arm.deb
2. openssh_5.2p1-8_iphoneos-arm.deb
3. openssl_0.9.8k-9_iphoneos-arm.deb
4. us.scw.afctwoadd_1.01_iphoneos-arm.deb

Not resolved with WinSCP 4.2.8
Version 4.1.9 works fine
