- this does also happen with Winscp 3.5 - it only does not exit the app
- this did not happen with my old version (2)
- this does not happen using command line "scp" from another client
- this can be avoided with Winscp when i decrease the transfer bandwidth down to <200kb/s

I'm running whatever comes with fedora core 1, openssh-3.6.1p2-19 as far as i can tell. When I try the option you specified, I can't login and get this message:
"Incorrect MAC received on packet"

What is your SSH server? You may try to turn on option "Miscomputes SSH2 HMAC keys" on Bugs tab of Login dialog in section "Detection of known bugs in SSH servers".

Here's the section from the log. It doesn't matter whether i log in as root or as a user. I couldn't find much helpful information on the error message about the "corrupted MAC". any ideas?

Why did the server close the connection? I have full access to it and can change all its settings. I'm running Fedora Core 1 if that helps.

I get an "abnormal program termination" error when uploading longer files (or sometimes even smaller ones) to my server. I tried searching the support archives but didn't come up with anything helpful. Below is the relevant section of the logs.
