As long as you unzip tool allows passing password on command-line.
I need to unzipo a password protected file... can be this by WinSCP directly on server ? how ?
Hi,
How can I unzip a file in a server using WinSCP?
The path is /home/appladmin/APEX/apex_3.2.zip
When I double click the file, it opens winzip application and saves unzipped files in temporary directory which seems to be in my local drive.
When I tried to extract those files to a specific folder in the server I see only the folders in my local drive.
Would appreciate step by step instruction.
Thanks,
Guy
Martin,
thank you for your support.

Again not directly. But it can use remote application to unzip it without downloading it to local directory.
And if it is a remote file, WinSCP is able to unzip it?
Thanks & Regards,
Gustavo
WinSCP cannot unzip local file by itself. You have to have external application installed for that. Then you may be able to call it from local file context menu within WinSCP.
I forgot to mention - The extension of the zip file is .zip
.

I want to unzip a local csv file.
With the unzip contents I want to load a table.
The problem is that I cannot load the table without unzipping the file.
Is it possible to unzip the file with WinSCP?
Thanks for the support,
Gustavo
What file? Remote or local? What do you want to do with the unzipped contents?
Is it possible to unzip a file using WinSCP? How can I do it?
Thanks & Regards,
