Location profiles look very nice and indeed have an 'alias'. Unfortunately I do not use Commander at all so if I cannot make them work in Explorer they are not for me.

I'll live with "raw" bookmarks.

You can use Location profiles instead of Bookmarks. Location profiles can have a custom name.

I have to navigate to a few obscure locations on the remote systems so I set them up as bookmarks. However, their names are not logical or obvious. It would be nice to add some descriptive names to the bookmarks such as "current logs" or "archived logs". That way I can immediately recognize the directory I need to switch to.
