There no way currently to download file in binary mode to editor. Workaround is to associate your editor with file extensions and launch the file (double-click). It is then downloaded in mode set on Preferences page.

Hi,
I use SciTE as an Editor and it works correct, if I download the file in binary mode and open it in SciTE. It seems, that the temporary download for editing is not binary, all CR and LF are removed.

I hope I understand you correctly.
If you goto Options > Preferences > Editor - and tick "wrap long lines"
In the same place you can also set WinSCP to use an external editor of your choice.

is it possible to set also the binary transfer for the edit command (F4)? I always get my files in one line, but if a download them anything is ok.
