I'm trying to transfer files from an external Linux server (Linux lopik 2.6.16.27-0.9-smp #1 SMP Tue Feb 13 09:35:18 UTC 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) to my local windows machine (Windows XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 3) using WinSCP GUI version 4.3.5 (build 1463), Commander mode, protocol SCP, but during the transfer I regularly get the error:
Server unexpectedly closed network connection
Copying file 'xxxxx.xxx' fatally failed.
Copying files from remote side failed.
Some transfer actions succeed, but a lot are terminated with this error during the transfer.
The files are not bigger than 40mb.
Transfer mode is Binary.
The same problem occurs with older versions of WinSCP.
