The combobox is used for activating opened session. It does not open recently closed session. So there's no point of it being editable. Also in 5.0.x it has been replaced with session tabs:

The one which is visible in the 'Session Toolbar' & looks like user@host.com. I was wondering if this url could be editable. I just see it a combo box where in we can just pick the recent ones but can't edit. However when I upgraded to latest Beta release 5.0.6 (2074) I don't see the session-url anymore. It is descoped?

I understand the directory path. But I do not know what you mean by session URL.
