OK. It got fixed by upgrade of the IDE (and associated libraries) for 5.0 beta. I cannot propagate the fix to 4.3.x branch easily.

Sorry, I'm lost. You wrote "Latest version 4 and 5 HAS a problem"...

Just to be sure, by :latest version 4", do you mean 4.3.6? And by 5, the 5.0.6 beta?
John Peterson

That's correct. It doesn't affect version 5 as I previously wrote.

Re: Windows 7 automatic window arrangement problem

Can you give me more details?
I've tried this:
1) Drag WinSCP main window to the edge of the desktop
2) Minimize WinSCP main window (clicking the minimize button on the window title bar)
3) Restore WinSCP main window (clicking WinSCP taskbar button)
It worked correctly. WinSCP main window was restored to the snapped position.

Windows 7 automatic window arrangement problem

Latest version 4 and 5 has a problem with Windows 7 automatic window arrangement (<invalid hyperlink removed by admin>). [Correction: it doesn't affect version 5.]

Returning the program from a minimized state undoes the window arrangement.

This may be from an unnecessary SW_SHOW (MSDN: "SW_SHOW ...displays it [the window] in its current size and position.").
