My six year love affair with WinSCP could be at an end. FileZilla is fat and ugly in comparison, but I cannot work without any ftp at all.

Yes, it works with FileZilla - but only on the second attempt every time. I get a timeout on the first attempted connection, but it connects second time round. Very odd!

I am lost without WinSCP. I have tried changing all the advanced options, adding exception to firewall, different PCs and even the router. Nothing seems to work.

If I uninstall and reinstall WinSCP it will randomly connect once, but never again!

I have also checked for and removed any spyware / viruses.

I am baffled.
