I could not find any solution and I needed it, zo I just downloaded a newer version to which the descriptions I found on the internet applied. So this question may be ignored.

compare directories
Hi
i am using version 4.1.9, windows vista and ftp.
I know my version is not a recent one, but my computer is going to be replaced in the near future and I want to use that moment to update my version.
I am used to compare two directories (cntr-c) but unfortunately the dirs have become too big and I get a time-out. Where can I increase the time-out period or make winscp send dummy information so that it does not close)? The answers I found on the internet seem to apply on the latest versions. At least, i cannot find any "advanced settings".
