im sorry i didnt mean to sound simplistic, but overall the tabs feature is definitely crippled by this issue to the point that i prefer to use another instance of winscp than actually open a new tab.

Because it's not as easy to implement as "put the connection windows in the background". That's does not mean we do not want to improve this.

When I connect to new sessions it does not allow me to work on current opened sessions, why don't put the connection windows in the background?
