Last thing i checked, via FTP i stay connected, seems to be a problem with SCP/ SFTP anyone ideas?

It looks like a network problem. I'm not an expert in that.

Seems like we have more succes over normal FTP instead of SFTP. Do you have any idea's: prikryl?

I tried Filezilla for now, i also get the DC there. When i use it active it goes pretty ok, but if i stop focussing the winscp/ filezilla window and then after 20 sec use the window again i get the time out. Here is a log from filezilla

What i also tried is disabled DHCP in our modem since i found that as a solution, unfortunately that is not solving the problem


We also phoned our hosting provider they said it has something to do with losing NAT tables. We can fix it by saving the session first, then in advanced options send dummy packages and then connect again. But at that point we have all our customer data stored into single pc's we don't really want that.

What would be nice if that there was an option that you can activate dummy packages for a live session without storing it

If you setup a stored site for a particular host with enabled the keepaliaves, do you get the disconnects or not?

Good day,

I am new to this forum, well not exactly new since i looked for hours for a solution to my following problem:

Random disconnects when using WinSCP

- We are a company and using WinSCP to connect to our webshops. We start WinSCP via an external link that looks like this: sftp://shopname:password@server.com
- WinSCP opens you can browse directories and we are all good.
- After some time (can be 5 min, can be 10 min, can be 1 min) WinSCP randomly loses the connection saying: Network error: Software caused connection abort

I am aware of this topic: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/message_software_caused_connection_abort#middle (since i have it in the middle of a session)

I am not sure how i can use the "Keep alives" since we are dynamically establishing connection with WinSCP and not saving sessions (since we can't because of the big number of webshops)

What i tried:
- Looking for solutions on this forum
- I am using the latest version of WinSCP: 5.7.2 (b 5316)
- Trying to renew window every 10 seconds (which i found out on this forum that it doesn't make sense)

How are we connecting
- Dynamically via a link in FireFox
- SFTP or SCP

Other
- We use Notepad++ for editing
- We recently switched from ADSL to Cable modem. Since the switch to cable modem we have this problem

What i don't know
- How to make a log that you can help me with to find the problem

Can you guys please help me, this is so frustrating that we keep losing the connection. It's very hard for our programmers to work like this. They don't know if a file is saved or not on the server. There are so many timeouts like 10-20 in 5 minutes
