The files ended at 100% complete and then no copy process.

I have no problem if i transfer smaller amounts of files.

I'll check into trying a different copy method today.

I suspect you are using "temporary foldeR" mode of downloads (see drag&drop tab of preferences window). Can you try "shell extension" mode?

Yah i seen that wasn't the most informative post. I'm using the scp protocol. What would happen while running multiple instances was the files (backed up an entire public_html directory with postnuke in it in all instances so alot of files.) would transfer a few even unusually fast. When it would finish there was no error windows simply did not run the windows copy process after the transfer and the transfer window just went away. i hope this helps.

This is not true. I have no idea what is your problem.
I would like to see at least the full error message you've got. Your problem description is rather emutional then useful.

Been using winscp for a few years now and have a few problems with it. One in particular is extremely annoying to me. The first problem is the upload and download speed. It doesn't matter if i am working between machines on my LAN or sending across the internet, I never get speeds anywhere every remotely close to simple ftp transfers. WinSCP has done this with every version i have ever run. The second is a strange problem. Today I was going to transfer a massive amount of files across my LAN. I started with my first directory and after getting frustrated waiting fro something that should only take a few seconds (and getting 25k download speed) I thought well I might as well open up 3 or 4 of these puppies and transfer multiple directories at once. Was a great idea until the downloading stopped and none of them copied the files to my windows directories. Well one copied a tiny chunk of the files. I also got an error saying there were two files with the same name. I am assuming that when WinSCP transfers files from Lin to Win that it just drops everything into one directory (temp or whatever) minus the folder structure. This poses a problem because one of the directories i was transferring has images in sub directories and apparently there is an image in one subdirectory that is named the same as in another. I know this is free software and all but i would expect it to not trash my files while transferring, especially in this mature stage.
